Poetry Friday -- Lit Conference Preso



Maria (Teaching in the 21st Century) and I are going to be presenting about Poetry Friday at the Dublin Literacy Conference tomorrow. If your ears are burning, now you'll know why!

  4. I'm sure it will be wonderful Mary Lee. I just went to my favorite Indie bookstore, The Bookies, (other than Tattered Cover) & found another J. Patrick Lewis poetry book to love: Swan Song, about extinct animals who've been neglected as far as story! Looks great. Your lovely wordle has Lewis' name so prominent that I thought I'd share! Have fun!

    1. LOVE that one! (Confession: I have a HUGE collection of JPL books. He's been the visiting author at my schools maybe three times over the years AND he's our hometown hero.)

  5. Mary Lee, thanks for representing us. Wow and wow! Enjoy Dublin. From what I have heard, Ireland honors its poets and poetry.

    1. Oops! The school district where I teach is in Dublin...OHIO!! We will make sure to carry on the tradition of honoring poets and poetry...on PF in the classroom!!
