I will add...come back to it and read it again and again. My kids have made all kinds of new discoveries by listening to one another's thoughts, scanning the pictures and hearing it again (no kidding I think I've read it aloud 5). I love this book and your experiment!!!Katie Dicesarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04267193046510544304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-35783984098090812942008-06-01T14:13:00.000-04:002008-06-01T14:13:00.000-04:00Great exercise and interesting results. I think some of it depends on the classroom and the particular group of children. I worked with special ed of all grades and subbed in ever grade from kindergarten through high school. I found that reading aloud from picture books worked well for all grades and that certain classes will get something that the same age group will not get in another class. I also find that my oldest will occasionally miss things that my 6 year old will get and that all three will get things my 16 year old brother will completely miss. Such an interesting experiment.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13735948672915158770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-81078554755473884442008-05-29T16:31:00.000-04:002008-05-29T16:31:00.000-04:00I love your conclusions...I love your conclusions...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-44096764509345500202008-05-29T11:13:00.000-04:002008-05-29T11:13:00.000-04:00This is really interesting! I did get it:-) But, for me, it was a book about losing your favorite book and I would go off on that route when I chatted with kids.
This is like that talking dog book we read!!
FrankiFrankihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00186802649034970935noreply@blogger.com
