It is a lovely thing to know that this young girl loves you, her teacher, and is learning so much, especially given the language issues. These kids, the ones that pour out their grateful hearts, make our teaching feel as important as it is. They help make the tiredness a little more bearable. I used to notice moments when I would be down or maybe wondering if I was doing it "right" and then a kid would do something, even something small, that let me know I mattered. This is beautiful.
