Clementine is a great read aloud and I love, love, love the idea of a study of series books to start off 4th grade. Keep me posted on your thinking with that one! Excellent review as usual. Can't wait for my copy to arrive!LiteracyDocenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08746444238586627666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-83398413595446531712010-07-07T13:05:57.801-04:002010-07-07T13:05:57.801-04:00I am excited that there will be another Clementine...I am excited that there will be another Clementine book out. I have them in Spanish for my dual immersion classroom, so sometimes they are appealing to students who are very high level readers in English who aren't quite to that level in Spanish yet.Amanda Villagómezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02119297811490732509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-59402600300913504372010-07-07T13:00:28.223-04:002010-07-07T13:00:28.223-04:00The best ideas come while writing, don't they?...The best ideas come while writing, don't they? I like Clementine, too -- she reads aloud so nicely! That's something Jack and Annie don't do so well either, but I think the predictability of the characters works for younger, newly independent readers.<br />Wait, who's Sassy??Anamaria (bookstogether)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10361389598002568007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-4274126001963049572010-07-07T11:11:46.558-04:002010-07-07T11:11:46.558-04:00I adore Clementine and found it to be a perfect re...I adore Clementine and found it to be a perfect read aloud for my third graders (Gooney Bird, too). It seemed a natural step up from Junie B. and closer to the charm I remember feeling with the Ramona books. Can't wait to pick this one up!!Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00132494394638364405noreply@blogger.com
