It's posted on my blog http://carolwscorner.blogspot.com/2013/04/poem-4-shhh.html. <br /><br />The contrast of the concrete stuff (giggles and chickadees) with the more abstract- silence and the music of the spheres is perfect, Mary Lee. And I love Kevin's "stone barrier."Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13294455230627182656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-6884482483759623652013-04-04T23:20:34.005-04:002013-04-04T23:20:34.005-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13294455230627182656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-91145770843839905242013-04-04T22:16:40.976-04:002013-04-04T22:16:40.976-04:00I have a small blue ceramic box/frame that include...I have a small blue ceramic box/frame that includes a man holding his finger up as if to say "silence". A parent gave it to me a few years ago, as a 'gift' for a teacher who sometimes needs silence. She said she bought it at our art institute. I wonder if the student had seen this beautiful sculpture, & created a different version. I think I'll print your poem & put it with my sculpture, Mary Lee. I loved your poem, that part about the chickadees especially here in early spring.Linda Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983144542632353870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-53971305539539884192013-04-04T20:59:16.591-04:002013-04-04T20:59:16.591-04:00Love this, Mary Lee..it's so hard to capture s...Love this, Mary Lee..it's so hard to capture silence and the need for it, but you did it! :)Tara @ A Teaching Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07195982194362559883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-6536213703483968172013-04-04T17:18:23.874-04:002013-04-04T17:18:23.874-04:00Silence lets us hear and see more sometimes. This is SOOOOO interesting. Would it be called ekphrastic blogging? I like your little quiet poem very much, especially the second stanza. I really love Dogtrax's poem too, reminding me of a lesson i am slow to learn.Heidi Mordhorsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902158336083356337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-75860218480738825172013-04-04T09:20:37.130-04:002013-04-04T09:20:37.130-04:00What a stunning piece of art you found to inspire ...What a stunning piece of art you found to inspire you today, Mary Lee! I ran out of time to comment yesterday but I meant to tell you how much I enjoyed your post -- so true. Over the years, I have actually had a couple of poets refuse permission because they want people to buy their books instead, so it really is worth asking. (I just went back to check out Carol's poem -- wow!)Tabathahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14367572663591077922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20429083.post-24623585305724938582013-04-04T08:18:15.217-04:002013-04-04T08:18:15.217-04:00Shhhh,
