  1. Mrs. Peterson from Patricia Polacco's latest, The Junkyard Wonders (soon to be reviewed by me :) ) most definitely needs to make the list!!

  2. I love this list. I reviewed Word After Word After Word in July (http://all-en-a-days-work.blogspot.com/2010/07/word-after-word-after-word.html).

I'm on the search for new characters to add to your list...

I love opening A Year of Reading! Never tire of the entries you and Franki add each day.

  3. Miss O'Grady, the librarian in BUSING BREWSTER needs to be added to the list. She sees Brewster looking at a book about space and says that maybe he will be an astronaut. He tells her that his mama hopes he will be president. She responds, "Well then you will be going from here to Harvard. So we better begin by teaching you how to read."

  4. Mister Gee in Once Upon An Ordinary School Day by Colin McNaughton, illustrated by Satoshi Kitamura - a wonderful teacher indeed. I've reviewed the book and described what the teacher gets up to here:

  5. I'm so honored to have Ms. Raymond on your list. May I just mention that she's named after my third grade teacher, Ms. Raymond, who rocked!
