I wrote an article for Choice Literacy titled, "What Does It Mean to be a Literacy Teacher Today?". It is the first in a year-long series called "Beyond Gadgets" focusing on integrating technology with literacy learning.
I think what you're doing is amazing. I applaud you for your commitment, honesty and efforts. I'm really grateful I found your blog. I'm not an educator but an education and literacy advocate. I look to people like you to teach me how I can do what I do as a volunteer to help our kids become literate, productive citizens in our society.
I will be following your series, taking notes and passing on links of your series to my friends who are educators and writers.
I can't say thank you enough for taking on this work.
