Papa

Papa

I remember that day.
I did all my morning chores
up to my knees in mud,

came back to the house
to clean my boots up,
and there he was,

proud as punch
in my overshoes.
How could I begrudge his fun?

It certainly looks like it could be mud-season in the photo!

How could I begrudge his fun, indeed! It looks like this pair (kid and dog) have gotten into plenty of "trouble" together.

No wonder you decided to do this project. This has been a great bunch of photos waiting for some stories.

  2. SO sorry I didn't drop by sooner. Your poems resonate. Will there be a book? I'd love to own a copy.

Love the tone of farmer Papa. Always work to be done, but sometimes...
