Poem #26 -- Slow Down and Focus

Take off your shoes
And leave behind the stress of the day.
Imitate the instructor's moves; lose yourself with

Careful choreography of movement.
Here is the place, now is the time.
I am one.

  1. I've always wanted to try tai chi--more so now. This is gorgeous, Mary Lee, a truly beautiful poem. Reminds me of how I feel about yoga now.

Those last two lines are stunning! Go, you!

  4. Such a lovely image! My friend Patti loves her Tai Chi classes and I think you have captured exactly the feelings she has as she attends. Makes me want to get out there and try it.

    Thanks for the beautiful words!
