  1. What a wonderful cartoon by Grand Snider, Mary Lee. Inspiration is word with endless possibilities of how it is played out. It is was of those amazing words with depth of meaning and the right one to describe what Lee has given to the world of poetry. Thank you, Mary Lee.

  2. I love it. I've got a caterpillar/butterfly theme going on my hallway bulletin board. It seems to fit well for middle school. :-)

  9. Fitting, and FLITTING! Yes, sometimes the best work we do is the plodding along, but it can lead to words which soar. Like so many Lee left us with! Thanks, Mary Lee.

  16. Oh dear Mary Lee, thank you. I felt crushed like the butterfly when I found out about LBH, a bit later than most because we were far far away & out of touch. And here, again, I always find more & more creative connection with you... - my hubby & I LOVE Grant Snider's cartoons & have gifted his 1st collection (another is on the way) THE SHAPE of IDEAS to several folks recuperating from surgery & the like & it need of a lift. I hadn't seen this one of his & appreciate it, much.

  17. Clearly this Grant Snider is someone to investigate! Endlessly varied inspiration, from Lee and from you.

  18. We need both, in our creative efforts -- the flashes of fragile brilliance and the patient plodding. Thanks for this little work of art.
