A precious little friend.
ReplyDeleteThis has the perfect blend of melancholy and love.
Precious!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
There's something so dear and heart-rending about the final image: silent music box. So much power in a well-loved friend. Thanks, Mary Lee!
ReplyDeleteVery touching, Mary Lee.. "Worn thin by love"...great line!
ReplyDeleteAh...I have three of these from my three. Worn thin with love, indeed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Mary Lee, those times when the past finds itself, blinking and bemused, in the present.
ReplyDelete"Worn thin by love." So sweet and touching.
ReplyDeleteLike several others, I love the line "worn thin by love." Thinking of you often this week dear friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, the silent music box gets to me...guess you have to hum to the teddy bear now.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
I still have my teddy bear, and he is a bit thinner than a long time ago. So sweet, Mary Lee.
ReplyDeleteI no longer have my teddy, but he was definitely worn thin by love. And the memory makes me smile. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd what is the tune that the music box played? We once had a hand-me-down donkey that played "On the Trail" from the Grand Canyon Suite. It was awesome! I wonder if I could find it...
ReplyDeleteI ache at
ReplyDelete"silent music box"
Audible sound when I read it.
Seeing this heartmelt relic in the chair provides a soothing balance.
