annoying, continuous
rain...and sinuses

The class cold. Oh, joy. At least I have time to get better before parent conferences next week and NCTE the week after that. Small blessings.
Katya at Write. Sketch. Repeat. has the Poetry Friday roundup today.
Feel better soon! We have something going round the library, too. Enjoy NCTE!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Mary Lee! Ugh, the sniffles are going around here, too. May they pass quickly!
ReplyDeleteIt does happen, and you're right, at least it's good timing. Hope the weather changes & helps you get better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I'm with you! ...Love "..and sinuses" Feel better...God bless you!
ReplyDeleteHa! The sinuses was wonderful and unexpected. Definitely seems to go with the season! I will miss seeing you at NCTE. Enjoy! xo
ReplyDeletePoor you! Lots of hot tea and rest (if you can).
ReplyDeleteHai-ku do without that drip, drip, drip. Ha!
ReplyDeleteGroooooan... I know... I tried, though.
Oh, ugh. Dry cold, blowing air. We had to turn on the heat this week here too. Here's to the season of sharing - germs and gifts - and sniff, sniff, sniffles. *sneeze*
ReplyDeleteGet well. Too much to do.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing you at NCTE! Hopefully by then you will be drip-free.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting subject for a haiku, Mary Lee. I do hope you feel better before NCTE. I look forward to seeing you (minus a cold).
ReplyDeleteHope you can rest up this weekend and feel better. Looking forward to seeing you in Minneapolis!
ReplyDeleteTake plenty of Benadryl - you won't notice your nose running if you're in a coma.
ReplyDeleteMatt's comment made me laugh. Good luck, Mary Lee! If you don't want to go the comatose route, try food with lots of garlic (and horseradish, if that's your thing.)
ReplyDeleteUgh...hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you have gotten lots of time this weekend to rest and recover, so you are ready for parent/teacher conferences, then NCTE!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Mary Lee. I keep picking up germs from my older granddaughter who is in preschool. At least, you'll have a day of rest on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteUgh, being sick when it is raining...your poem captured the dreariness of it all. Sending you feel better vibes, Mary Lee! =)
ReplyDeleteBleh. Dripping sinuses are the worst - you have my sympathies. Your poem made me smile, so I hope it made you feel a bit better too.
