Interesting theme. I love the surprise of endpapers!
ReplyDeleteMy 6.5 year old daughter has quickly come to love the end papers of books. (Thanks to the Elephant & Piggie books that always have something funny with Pigeon on the final page.) I know she'll love exploring the end papers on this list. Thanks for such an imaginative theme, Mary Lee!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea about the endpapers, Mary Lee. The grand girls and I look first to see about those endpapers. For them, it was Mo Willems who started the search. They wanted to find that pigeon. I've noted some new to me, Mary Lee. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOur lists share two books: Sam and Dave and The Book of Mistakes (my list is all about beautifully quirky titles) I love how students have so much fun with endpapers. They almost crawl into your lap while trying to see things! Such a fun list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the list. I think your focus on endpapers is really interesting. I'm also intrigued to find out what the Professional Crocodile gets up to everyday.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a creative theme, Mary Lee. Your list is a nice mix of old favorites (Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs is hilarious) and new titles to look for.
ReplyDeleteThe Cat, the Dog, Little Red, the Exploding Eggs, the Wolf and Grandma is especially intriguing. Thank you for sharing!
I love thinking about end papers. Thank you for sharing these books that get us thinking about those little gems tucked just outside the story.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the #pb10for10 conversation, Mary Lee.
I so often forget to linger and pay attention to the importance of the endpapers. Thanks for this post about they might matter!
