sessile trillium

formerly forest

  1. I googled a picture of sessile trillium and now I'm picturing the scene. I love the reminder that although the scene is domesticated now, there's a wildness in its history.

  2. I too googled sessile trillium and like Ruth can picture it. The name (and its nick name, toadshade) feels magical. Just like a forest.

  3. I'm still waiting for some color in my walks, love reading about your trillium, & I looked it up, too. I won't be seeing it here, only native to the east, moisture I suppose. Have a lovely week, Mary Lee!
