On My Walk
On My Walk
On my walk
around the block
what do I see?
I see a teddy bear
looking at me!
As we go
I look below
and what do I see?
I see chalk art
looking at me!
Walk some more
and on the door
what do I see?
I see a rainbow
looking at me!
Come back home
where we're alone.
What do I see?
A hopeful heart
is looking out for me.

ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteAwww... yes, that hopeful heart. Thank goodness for that! We have a teddy in our window too. :)
ReplyDeleteSo Brown Bear, Brown Bear has been dancing in my head all day, since I read this early this morning. I love the ending!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found something hopeful on your walk today. Do you read Kim Douillard's "Thinking Through Your Lens" blog? She, too, wrote about finding something positive on her walk. I appreciate these glimpses of hope and optimism so much. Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteThat last stanza - such are the comforts of a loving heart at home.
